On the basis of licence granted by the Czech Telecommunication Office, STAR 21 Networks, a.s. operates an FWA (Fixed Wireless Access) network in the 26 and 28 GHz frequency bands in the Czech Republic. The company offers its services to other telecommunication operators and Internet service providers (ISP’s) as an advantageous alternative for the solution of the so-called last mile, this means for access to their own customers. The connection via STAR 21 Networks is currently available in 17 Czech cities – Praha, Brno, Ostrava, Plzen, Olomouc, Liberec, Ceske Budejovice, Hradec Kralove, Usti nad Labem, Pardubice, Zlin, Kladno, Karlovy Vary, Prostejov, Kolin, Teplice and Decin.

„In the FWA 26/28 GHz access network segment, we are currently No. 1 in the Czech market – being the only independent provider of FWA-based wholesale services, operating the largest network and exhibiting the highest growth-rate of the number of connections,“ says Richard Pinc, the director of STAR 21 Networks. „We understand this position as a kind of commitment: to be able to satisfy our partners’ needs within the relevant portion of the Czech market with the highest possible success rate. We therefore keep working on improving our coverage and also preparing further expansion of our service portfolio.”

Access via FWA 26/28 GHz networks has already become standard part of service portfolio of all major telecommunication operators and Internet service providers. All of those can now offer services with guaranteed quality for attractive promo prices also to their corporate customers in Decin, Kolin and Teplice.
