Use of the FWA for telephone services
One of the main STAR 21 Networks access line applications is telephone services for firms and organisations. This service is provided by the STAR 21 Networks partners – voice operators.
To take advantage of all possibilities offered by current telephone operators, it is advisable to use the direct connection of the customer’s private branch exchange, i.e. reserved access to the operator’s network, usually through a 2 Mbps digital circuit. The STAR 21 Networks access line complies with all parameters specified for such digital circuit.
Advantages of telephoning through the FWA
- Guaranteed service quality and reliability, connection equivalent to the terrestrial digital circuit connection;
- Support of various interface types based on the private branch exchange possibilities;
- Short installation time;
- Sufficient reserve of capacity for future needs;
- Possibility to use additional services on a single connection (Internet, data services).
Typical service configuration
The customer uses telephone services with direct access from the chosen provider. The STAR 21 Networks circuit is used to connect the client’s private branch exchange to the provider’s network. The circuit terminates on the customer’s side in the required interface (port) of the STAR 21 Networks network subscriber terminal (usually E1 or ISDN PRI). Technical parameters, security and reliability of such digital circuit are equivalent to the service provided on the terrestrial line.
The subscriber terminal normally has several ports and can be used for multiple services or to connect multiple customers. Individual services are absolutely independent of each other and the parameters of each of them can be set up and guaranteed separately.
STAR 21 Networks guarantees that there will be no disturbance of the existing equipment operation or damage to the external or internal areas of the building during installation. Applicable building and electric safety regulations and standards will be complied with during installation. The subscriber terminal meets the safety and health standards and is certified for operation in the Czech Republic.
